Bougainvillea

This climber, native to South America, is well adapted to the Mediterranean climate. In summer, bracts of various colours from white to dark purple adorn tiny insignificant pale-cream- yellow flowers. In countries with cold climates, it is well suited for pots on balconies or terraces. Before the first frost, it is advisable to take the plant to a protected place.
